What, or who, is PC Puppets?

PC Puppets started up in May 2005, with our inaugural performance of ‘Inside I’m Screaming’ at AbilityFest, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Our aim is to involve people in ‘cutting their own strings’ through raising issues in a fun way with puppetry, music and discussion. We stand for inclusion, justice and equality and promote social change. Puppet power rules! (Well, actually it does already – that’s what we’re trying to change...)
Julia, Andy and Anne are a motley bunch of friends who have also worked together in different projects as colleagues. Between us, we have a wide variety of talents and experience, which includes:

  • Training and consultation
  • Disability awareness training
  • Facilitating workshops
  • Belly dancing
  • Putting together IKEA furniture (Guess who?)
  • Political activism
  • Parenting
  • Graphic facilitation
  • Stand-up comedy
  • Writing and performing poetry
  • Making jewellery
  • Playing piano for ballet classes
  • Arts & mental health
  • Making videos
  • Business management
  • Hat making
  • Cooking for ungrateful (and grateful) people
  • Lecturing in colleges & universities
  • Being arrested at peace demonstrations!
  • One Vegetarian, one pseudo Vegetarian & a Vegan
  • Advanced Gerbil care.... Hmmm....
  • And... Puppet making!

.....and many more!
These combined talents are brought to PC Puppets – for more details, click on our photos.
If your group would like a visit from PC Puppets (Oh yes they would!), do get in touch. We aim to be as participative as possible, rather than ‘performing at’ people.
Look out there's a puppet about....!!
